Insideout and Upsidedown are members of a parasitic species called the "Insecvoriles".When an Insecvorile reaches a certain age,one of his leg will develop into a bunch of roots and he will have to start living off a host---An insect which his parents had choosen and registered to the Insecvorile Council before his birth.
Upsidedown hunted down his Chopper Mantis before his roots appeared, and the subdued insect now acted as both his food and transport.Insideout is slower.Due to her great disgust toward insects, she have not found or caught her Lantern Bug yet.
To make matters worse, she had recently developed her roots. If she did not find her host soon, she will die crippled at the tender age of 54. Upsidedown, being Insideout's "Best Ever Accomplice"(As she puts it),decided to help her out for the sake of their future mischiefs together.
He attached Insideout's roots to his arm and temporarily transferred his Manti's nutrients to her.Unfortunately, this is both dangerous and highly illegal for Insecvoriles. There is a probability of the friends merging together and driving their insect crazy---which will then go knocking down the wooden huts in the Insecvorile village, causing great damage.Crippled Insecvoriles are considered useless and should be used as baits to lure wild insects into the village instead.
This is why Upsidedown dumped Insideout into a Rocket Wheelchair and quickly zoomed out of the village with her. They went from city to city in search of a Lantern Bug,almost never stopping except to buy a pair of telephones at one time.(This is because the Chopper Mantis flew so high up and fast that they couldn't hear each other speak, thus they had to communicate through telephones.)
This picture is the scene of the IPF(Insecvorile Police Force)closing down on the best friends when they were trying to catch a Lantern Bug in the City Of Delusion.Upsidedown pelted the cops with bubbly petrol bombs that Insideout had just stolen and they grinned sinisterly when they got two out of three hits.
Insanity! Insanity of the best kind. I love super-detailed drawings like this.
I have to admit some of the bits done with the PS brushes don't seem as refined or fitting, though.
Still, <3.
Thank you,i'm honoured.I really like the piece that you submitted for the contest too.It would be awesome if i could paint that way.I'll take note on the type of brushes to use next time!
